July 28, 2026. I am a grandmother, mother, baton twirler and practicing RN. I am searching for a living kidney donor as I have end-stage kidney disease (ESRD). I am busy twirling with a group of "my-age" baton twirlers. Today I was focused on communicating with those twirlers about routines to practice for upcoming parades and performances, in which I'm hoping to participate. I'm currently anemic due to my kidney disease - a living donor kidney would improve my blood counts and allow me to do one thing I love on a consistent basis. I recently went to the UK with The Beat Goes On Marching Band. I was unable to be in all the parades and performances because of anemia. It is just one factor that limits folks who have ESRD. I started this blog to bring awareness to my need and others for living donors. The National Kidney Foundation (www.kidney.org) is an excellent source of information.
